Plural Nouns Quiz - Identifying the Correct Plural Noun
Plural nouns refer to words that indicate more than one person, place, or things. They are one of the more easy forms of grammatical devices to learn; however, plural noun worksheets will help to enhance the study. Furthermore, instructors can select from a large variety of worksheets in order to tailor their lesson plans to the students' diverse learning interests.
Most nouns are easy to make plural. You just add an s.
* For nouns that end in -ch, -x, -s, -sh, -z, you add es. For nouns ending in a single -z, you add zes. Most nouns that end in -o following a consonant, get an es added, though a few just add -s.
* For nouns ending in a consonant + -y, drop the y and add ies.
* For most nouns that end in -f or -fe, drop the f and add ves.
There are some nouns that have irregular plurals, and those just have to be learned.
